Our website uses a customer chatbot powered by OpenAIs GPT API to efficiently and interactively process your inquiries. When you use the chatbot, the following types of personal data may be processed: text inputs in the chat containing information about your inquiry, and technical data such as IP address and usage times. This data is required to understand your inquiries, respond accordingly, and improve our service.
Legal Basis:
The use of the GPT API within our customer chatbot and the associated data transmission to OpenAI is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing your inquiries) and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (our legitimate interest in improving our customer service).
Data Deletion:
Data collected in connection with the use of our customer chatbot will only remain in our storage as long as necessary for processing your inquiries and maintaining a customer relationship. Your data will be automatically deleted no later than three years after collection.
Disclosure to Third Parties and Place of Processing:
The commissioning of OpenAI is carried out in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR in conjunction with a corresponding data processing agreement. OpenAI acts as a processor bound by instructions and does not use the transmitted data for its own purposes. Your personal data will be disclosed to OpenAI Ireland Ltd., the provider of the GPT API, and its affiliated companies. This may include data transmission to affiliated companies of OpenAI Ireland Ltd. in the USA.
